Sizing can be tricky. If your knuckle's larger than the base of your finger, split the difference between two sizes. You need a fit that slides on smoothly but stays put. So, take two measurements and meet somewhere in the middle.

How to Measure

Things to Keep in Mind

Time of Day: Measure in the afternoon or evening when fingers tend to be at their largest.
Temperature: Cold fingers shrink slightly while warm weather makes them swell. Take measurements at room temperature.
Dominant Hand: Your dominant hand is often half a size larger than your non-dominant hand.
Band Width: Thicker bands (wider than 4mm) fit more snugly. Consider ordering a half size up for wider statement styles.

Measure Your Finger

Wrap a strip of paper or non-stretchy string comfortably around the base of the finger you plan to wear the ring on.
Mark the exact spot where the paper or string overlaps with a fine pen.
Lay the paper flat against a ruler and measure the length in millimeters (this is the circumference).
Divide by 3.14 to find your inner diameter in millimeters, then match it to our chart above.

Measure a Ring You Own

Choose an existing ring that fits the exact finger you want to measure.
Place the ring on a flat surface above a millimeter ruler.
Measure the inside diameter across the widest central point in millimeters (do not include the metal edges).
Look up your diameter measurement on the chart above to find your exact US ring size.
